The 2010 Saline Celtic Festival will be held Saturday, July 17.

What is the Saline Celtic Festival? Who runs it?

The Saline Festival began as a result of the Sister City relationship between Saline, Michigan and Brecon Wales. It is a volunteer organization comprised of an executive committee, event chairs and many volunteers. Area residents are invited to become part of the organizational and volunteer efforts of the festival. We meet monthly at City Hall.We have an office in City Hall at 100 North Harris Street.

Whether you are a first time visitor or are returning, we welcome you. Our goal is to make your visit enjoyable. If you have any questions before you come to the Festival, please let us know.

Is there shade?

Performance areas are under tents andMill Pond Park is a beautiful setting with numerous large trees providing shade.

Is there food at the festival?

Lots and very good, as well as beer in beer tents, ice cream, cold drinks.

How do I find out about lodging?

Contact the Ann Arbor Convention Visitor's Bureau.

Other than the Festival Grounds, where can I eat?

Refer to the Saline Chamber of Commerce and the web sites for restaurants in Saline.

Busses will run between the Festival site and downtown on a continuous basis.

Are there"Facilities"?

Several areas are set up with portable sanitary facilities (including handicapped) and hand washing areas.

Is there Handicapped Accessibility?

There is a special parking area and transportation near the park, accessible facilities and wheelchair friendly groomed paths. Please contact the Festival office to arrange for special parking.

Can I bring my dog? Please leave your dog at home.

Where do I park?

There are several parking areas in Saline and shuttle busses to and from the festival.maps

The Blue Route will have multiple buses to bring/return attendees from the following parking areas:
· Bus Stop 1 for both Heritage School (enter from Woodland Drive)/ Woodland Meadows (enter from Saline Ann Arbor Street into Steiner Ct -north end of Liberty School)
· Bus Stop 2 for Front of Middle School (enter from N. Maple street)
· Bus Stop 3 at the Back of Middle School (enter from N. Maple street)
· Bus Stop 4 at the side of Liberty School (enter from Saline Ann Arbor Street)
· Bus Stop 5 at the Far west corner of Mill Park parking

The Red Route will run from downtown Saline and will have multiple buses to bring/return attendees from the following downtown areas:
· Bus Stop 1 will be at McKay Street (parking lot of old Union School)
· Bus Stop 2 will be at Henry Street (mall)
· Bus Stop 3 will be at the Far east side of Mill Park parking
Buses for the public will run from 9:45am until 11:30pm

All buses are handicapped equipped and available from all parking areas including a special lot on Bennett Street just up the hill from the park. Buses can be dispatched for the handicapped, just ask a bus driver. No special signs for this service.

How do I get to the area if I don't have a car?

Can I bring my children?

Yes, children 12 and under get in to the Festival for FREE. It is a wonderful event for families. There are special performances and activities for kids, souvenirs, kid-food, kid sized tee shirts and a huge playground in the middle of the park. There is lots of shade that the paths throughout the park are suitable for strollers. Remember to bring sunscreen and hats.
