A note from Gretchen Driskell, Mayor, City of Saline

“The Saline Celtic Festival is the flagship event of the year for the City of Saline.
Each year we attract our residents and visitors from near and far, including many
other states and countries.

Unfortunately, municipalities such as the City of Saline are encountering many
fiscal demands requiring budget cuts and realignment of financial resources.
The formation of the Friends of the Festival will allow the City of Saline to
continue the long standing tradition of the festival while transitioning the
financial requirements of the festival to this non-profit organization.

It will generate a “win-win” scenario for everyone associated with the festival.”
